Scotch-Brite Clean & Strip XT Pro Disc contains a silicon carbide-based abrasive mineral embedded in an open nylon web structure. Our discs effectively remove rust, paint, mill scale, coatings and adhesives from surfaces without dramatically altering the base material.

They adapt to welds so that they can be sanded without removal, and they allow access to hard-to-reach areas without damaging the substrate. Silicon carbide cuts more intensely, ensuring a fine finish. Unwanted burrs, dirt and contaminants are effectively removed while at the same time maintaining the geometry of the workpiece, reducing the need for extra work and increasing productivity. Moreover, the abrasive can escape through holes in the web, reducing clogging of the abrasive. The disc's reinforcing resin is gradually broken down through use to release new fibres and super-sharp silicon carbide-based abrasive material, ensuring consistent cutting action over the life of the disc.
